All of my work and education has been about children and families from all walks of life and in all stages of their development.

I have worked as a head teacher in a low-income child development program and Director of a University Child Development program for students and University faculty and staff.  I spent 3 years working in residential treatment with young children. I  directed Head Start, Early Head Start and State Preschool programs.  I taught Child Development classes at the High School, University and Community College level.  Getting Licensed was one of the greatest moments of my career.  I have worked as a therapist for 10 years at the Infant Parent Center.   I have 2 graduate degrees from California State University, Sacramento and my undergraduate degree is from a state college in Pennsylvania.

I have awards for my service with the El Dorado County Child Abuse Prevention Council, Western Slope Association for the Education of Young Children and El Dorado High School Soccer program.  I have volunteered as a Big Sister with the El Dorado County Big Brother Big Sister program.  I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers, American Psychological Association, and Association for Play Therapy.
